Gandhi Jayanti Celebration
To pay homage to our Father of the nation -MAHATMA GANDHI, a special assembly in upper primary wing for classes 3 and 4 was conducted on Tuesday 3rd of October 2023 on account of Gandhi Jayanti. He was an Indian lawyer, anti -colonial nationalist who employed non-violent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India's Independence from British Rule. He is known for his philosophy of Truth (Satya) and non-violence(Ahimsa).
The assembly began with resonance of Gayatri Mantra purifying the heart, body and mind. Students expressed their views about the life of reverend Mahatma Gandhi and highlighted his contribution for the independence movement of our country. The poem recital was a cherry on the cake, it showcased Gandhi ji' s idea about sanitation.
The highlight of the day was the role portrayal of Gandhi ji, the spinning wheel created a serene aura and recital of Gandhi ji’s favorite Bajan- Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram mesmerized one and all present there.
Principal Mr. M.K Thakur sir enlightened the children with his motivated words and applauded
children for their great efforts.
