International Day for Elderly People

Elders play a vital role in each society. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humour, comfort, and life lessons to all the family members and their community. To acknowledge and appreciate the compassionate contribution of elders in society, October 1, has been marked as International Day for Elderly People by United Nations.
Students of Upper Primary Wing (classes III & IV) celebrated The Elders Day on 30th September 2022. They were sensitized about the role of elderly people in society, Elderly people are pillars of our society and they deserve love, care and compassion. To mark the occasion, children prepared Thank You Cards for them as a token of gratitude. They poured out their heart by writing beautiful poems and messages.
The activity was planned to help the students inculcate the values of respect and compassion towards elderly people and make them realize that elderly people need our care and presence to feel happy and loved.
