Janmashtami & Independence Day
The Nursery Wing of DAV Public School came alive with colours, joy, and patriotism as the children celebrated Janmashtami and Independence Day with great enthusiasm on 13th August, 2025.
The day began with a special assembly by the UKG students, where the little ones beautifully portrayed delightful scenes from Lord Krishna’s birth and Baal Leela. Adorable portrayals of cows, Gwal Baal, and the mischievous Makhan Chor mesmerised everyone. The highlight was the lively Raas Leela dance, where all the children swayed adorably, creating an atmosphere of joy and festivity.
After the divine celebrations, the mood turned patriotic as the Independence Day programme commenced. Our respected Principal,Mrs. Monika Mehan, hoisted the National Flag, filling the campus with pride as everyone joined in singing the National Anthem. The children then presented a melodious patriotic song in their sweet voices, followed by an inspiring address by Principal Ma’am, encouraging the children to grow up as responsible and proud citizens of the nation.
Adding to the spirit of the day, children wore tri-colour badges and wristbands also carried tri-colour-themed lunch, symbolising unity and love for the country.
The combined celebrations beautifully reflected the school’s commitment to nurturing cultural values and patriotism among its little learners.
The day concluded with cheerful smiles, waving flags, and hearts brimming with devotion and pride for the nation.
