Tackling Mental Health Issues
“It is during our darkest moments that we should focus to see the light.” World Mental Health Day celebrated on 10th Oct. aims to raise awareness in the global community about the critical mental health agendas. We at DAV Sahibabad, realize the need for mental health and psychosocial support for our students. We know that the levels of anxiety, fear, isolation, emotional distress, etc. can have severe impact on children’s minds. Keeping this in mind, World Mental Health Day was celebrated through a special assembly organized by Kalpana Chawla House and the Sr. Sec. Wing. The highlights of the event were a story-telling session on the life and works of saint and poet Tulsidas, a rap song composed by a 11th grade student fused with Indian classical music and a mesmerizing dance performance by students. The motto was to spread awareness among students about mental health Issues and how to overcome them.
