DAV Public School organized an educational visit to the National Science Center, Pragati Maidan, Delhi, of lower middle wing (5th and6th )students on 30th July 2022, under supervision of Ms Neha Chauhan, Ms Dimple Sachdeva, Ms Anjai Rathor, Ms Indrani Chakarborty and Ms Arti Singh. 

A total of 73 students participated in the tour which was organized with a aim to provide in-depth knowledge about the moon and taking science from textbook to real life. 

The visit started with the students attending a Special program- Science On Sphere on the topic “The  Moon My Friend”of 15 minutes duration, explaining all important facts about the moon and other celestial  bodies. The students then took a round of science museums where they got acquainted with different  facts about science in an innovative way. At the end, the students visited the Fun Science Gallery which  caught their attention instantly. It was full of Hand on Exhibits explaining the fundamentals of science. 

The students  participated in different quizzes, played games based on science and loved the mirror illusions. 

The visit ended with an informal discussion among the students and teachers about the center and its galleries. The visit thus turned out to be  successful by fulfilling its aim of imparting scientific knowledge in an interesting way to the  students which will remain fresh in their memories for long
