Sports and Art Integration
Sports and art are the two most universal languages we have. They enable us to express ourselves physically, emotionally and even intellectually, allowing us to connect and interconnect with each other creating an influential platform for exploring new dimensions. Sports and Art Integrated learning is helping students to create such connections and go beyond the realms of regular classrooms to have better and impactful learning.
Happy Classrooms
Children spend a greater part of their day in classrooms. For teaching and learning to be truly effective, it is important that classrooms are happy and welcoming spaces. Happy classrooms is an initiative taken by the school to destress students by developing an environment that looks after the child as a whole and helps him devise ways and means to feel happier about all aspects of life.
Competency based Learning
Competency-based learning is an approach to education that focuses on the student’s demonstration of desired learning outcomes as central to the learning process. Competency is a set of skills, abilities, knowledge that helps an individual perform a given task in real life. The school adopts and ensures various strategies for imbibing skills connected to it like Critical & Creative thinking, Problem Solving, Collaboration and Communication that will help the students perform tasks or take actions to lead a productive and joyful life.
Blended Learning
Technology has an important role in education and Blended Learning is the future. The school has introduced video conferencing initiative that has brought tremendous change and excitement in the teaching-learning process. It has added value to lessons and enabled teachers to give students the opportunity to interact with experts without leaving the classroom. During interactive video conferencing sessions, teachers become facilitators and lead the session thereby making students active participants with new age experiential learning.
Experiential learning
“Tell me and I will forget, Show me and I may remember, Involve me and I will understand.” Condensed in this proverb, is the real approach to teaching. This practical approach to teaching is reflected in our thoughtfully designed, innovation based curriculum. Experiential learning is an engaging learning process whereby students ‘learn by doing’ and by reflecting on the experience. The school makes all efforts to make every learning experience as the best and real life based learning for our students.
Project Based Learning
To develop dynamic classroom approach and to enable students to acquire deep understanding of the topics through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems, the school lays focus on Project Based Learning. This not only develops deep content knowledge but also helps in honing various life skills like critical thinking, collaboration, creativity and communication that leads to increased student engagement and improved learning outcomes for all.
Life skill Education
Education is more than academics. Life skill education is an integral part of school curriculum. Learning goes beyond the four-walls of the classroom. Every individual needs certain skill sets along with intelligence to succeed in life. Hence, the school lays equal emphasis on developing life skills among students to enable them to deal well with the demands and challenges of life.
Sparkling Saturdays
Every classroom carries together students with distinctive aptitudes and dispositions. As every student has different personality and capability, no single method works for all. In order to help children to acquire knowledge by creating connections between what they know and what they need to know, the school has started the concept of Sparkling Saturday activity classes. It helps students understand their surroundings and explore new avenues through various interesting STEM, Literary and Performing Arts activities.
Motivational Mondays:
A comprehensive and balanced curriculum nurtures not only the physical well being but the soul of the students. Motivational Mondays help students by relating classroom teaching to real life experiences and make them become informed and competent citizens of the country. Motivational Mondays focus on life skills and moral values through myriad activities and theme-based assemblies, thereby sensitizing students to appreciate and embrace the essential skills of life.
